frequently asked questions
Is coaching the same as therapy?
No. Coaching is focused on personal growth, self-trust, and nervous system support rather than diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions. While my background is in clinical mental health, the coaching work offered here is non-clinical and does not replace therapy or medical care. The brainspotting I offer is a therapy container, but the bulk of my work in coaching is not.
How do I know which offering is right for me?
If you’re looking to process trauma, work through significant past experiences, or address clinical symptoms such as PTSD, panic attacks, or ongoing emotional distress, Brainspotting Therapy may be the best fit. Therapy is designed to treat and process deeper psychological wounds in a structured clinical container.
If you’re feeling stuck, blocked, overwhelmed, or ready for your next level, but not necessarily needing trauma treatment, nervous System Coaching may be right for you. Coaching is future-focused and centered on regulation, self-trust, mindset shifts, and aligned action.
If you’re unsure, you’re always welcome to reach out for a brief consultation. We can talk through what you’re experiencing and determine the most supportive path forward.
Who is this work best suited for?
This work is best suited for individuals who are emotionally aware, open to reflection, and seeking a gentler, more grounded relationship with themselves. It may be especially supportive during seasons of transition, stress, or identity shifts.
What if I’m feeling nervous or unsure about starting?
That’s completely okay. Many people arrive feeling unsure of how to begin. The consultation is a low-pressure space to connect, ask questions, and listen to what feels right for you.
